ART Feeding Families in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, and the devastation has been heart-wrenching.
As an artist, I was moved to help, and I hope my art will inspire others.
The sunflower, Ukraine's national flower, has long symbolized pride and resilience. Worldwide, it now represents solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
To raise funds to feed Ukrainian families, I’m doing it the best way I can—offering select sunflower prints with proceeds going to World Central Kitchen, the first to respond and provide hot meals after disasters.
Founded by renowned chef José Andrés, WCK is on the ground in Ukraine today. Within hours of the first attack, WCK set up at eight border crossings for families fleeing their home, some who hadn’t had a meal in days. For those who don’t have the means to leave, WCK supports local restaurants providing free food.
